A little Swahili lesson: Mambo Rafiki means “Hello Friend” or “What’s up Friend” and the correct response is Poa which mean “I’m cool” which is kind of like when we say “whats up” then respond “nothing” or “how are you” then respond “good”. We started classes this week. We had one Cultural class on Monday where we learned about Do’s and Don’t’s so we don’t offend any one on accident. After class we ate on campus at the dining hall.
